Purchased a month ago, its so loud you cannot hear your self think, let alone anyone talking to you. You will get cool, as long as you are standing or sitting exactlyl in front of the unit. i purchased the same BTU as last unit expecting it to cool like that one. Not the case, it will cool a 10x10 room as long as you close the door. otherwise good luck. not worth the money.

We're experiencing triple digit temps in Texas right now, but we're staying cool with this window unit. Easy to install and it's helping keep our electricity bills down as we only cool the rooms we're in.

Great at keeping the house cool and we love the economy feature that lets the air conditioner come on at intervals and senses the room temperature and then, if necessary, the compressor kicks in and cools the room to your preset temperature.
