    Worked for two 3 months stretches and then..

    Was gifted with this by family two years ago. I did a great job for two 3 months stretches. Re installed it for the summer this week and it lasted two nights before it stopped cooling at all. Now the fan will blow but the compressor will not kick in. Kinda cruddy it only lasted so little of a time. Can't afford to replace it.

    Rain Water Collects In Machine No Draining Hole!

    I bought this machine on March 31 for a brand-new studio shed, but just got it installed a couple of weeks ago. Instructions say to install it with an inclination, which we did. Instructions also say that rain water and condensation water will drain through the draining hole. There is NO draining hole, at least in our machine. Water makes tremendous whooshing sound as if it were going to take off. I am sure it cannot be like that. We can't use it! Where is the draining hole?

    I just bought this unit. Test ran the unit and it wasn't that noisy. On preparing to install all went well until I expanded the panels. The right panel split from tip to bottom. I guess I'll have to glue it together. Also I have vinyl windows and I'' have to do a little shimming with wood to make a secure install. All in all it looks like a well made unit. I gave it a four star rating because of the flimsy panels.

    After owning two different Haier units (the window unit cooled fine) both eventually brokw. The window unit lost its motor, and the indoor stand alone unit never did really cool. The window unit cooled well but was noisy. This little machine is a VAST improvement over either Haier. It is quiet. It does not get hot on the outside. It is cool to the touch, if you can believe that. And it cools my little bedroom in about ten minutes. I love it. It has changed my life.
