I bought my Frigidaire 12000 BTU Built-In Room Air Conditioner- 230V/60Hz in August during our tax free week-end. We do not have central air, so we installed it through the wall, we also bought the outside sleeve.I really think it uses very little energy and it pushes air around and cools off my upstairs 3-bedroom home amazingly well. Glad to have this and very pleased with the quality. I was surprised and excited by the remote control and how quite it runs. The unit is constructed well, and I think it is a better design than my old air conditioner.
Buy these for my rental buildings.

We buy a lot of these units for my rental properties. They install easy and run very well. The only reason I did not give a five star rating was when we did actually have a problem, we had to call and trouble shoot in order to get a warranty replacement. Again, these are for my business and we are not set up to do that so we replaced it from our inventory, waited for a vacancy and then moved it into that unit to trouble shoot. Possibly they should have another policy for end user vs. those in the industry. With our other appliances they send a technician to determine the problem.
Good enough for the money.

For the price it's a good powerful handsome unit. The cooling power & the energy efficiency are great. The singnal from the remote is a drawback, it's non-responsive even from 10 ft. away, I have to be like Spock on Star Trek , searching for the exact position to aim him the tri-coder. I got a unit with broken levoours, maybe there's a way to aling them up without having to replace them, I haven't called Frigidaire yet for a replacement.
