I installed this three weeks ago and it's performed excellently in cooling and heating. We put in a 220V line, slipped it into an existing sleeve with the supplied parts, including the interior frame over existing wood frame; it was easy and looks very nice. Heating in the medium (15'x15'x10') exposed sun-room was more than adequate and I expect cooling in mid-summer to be similarly quite effective. The noise is "medium", quite tolerable for space in the corner of the house, but would interfere with listening to classical music, gentile conversation, and possibly bedroom sleep - I have to see if there is a variable threshold for the on/off control. I am reasonably confident that my Frigidaire FFTH1222U2 will give very good service for years to come. My other Frigidaire products have done so.

Wonderful!! Ive had this AC for the past 7 yrs and my whole 1 bedroom apartment including bathroom cold to the point of needing to throw a blanket over me in livingroom. Ive been advising my friends and family to buy only Frigidaire ACs.

This is the 2nd Frigidaire we’ve owned. The first we had for 6 years and cooled extremely well. The only reason we got rid of it is because it stared to leak and ruined our wall. We bought this unit last summer and was disappointed when it stopped cooling if the temperature outside was above 80 degrees. Worked great the first few / mild months but buyer beware, they don’t make these like they used to. Customer service was no help,Told us we had to reach out to an A/C technician in the area who Wanted to charge us 1/2 the cost of the unit, to repair it.

Happy so far with the purchased unit, handling the heat to a large degree here in Tucson, AZ. It replaced an older unit in our guest quarters and I had to look very hard to find this unit since the industry seems to have gone to a larger standard size but I have a smaller hole in a brick wall I was not going to cut through. Likewise I couldn't use any wall sleeve since they are too large. Fortunately this unit comes with its own case so it becomes its own sleeve. If you look closely at the given measurements, add 1/4 inch for true measure since there are screw heads, foot bump outs, and a grill on the outside that MUST be taken into account. The unit looks like its pictures, but it comes with a collar that you assemble and fit around the front of the machine to hide the edges where you slide it thru the wall--it hides well but it has no attachment points, so with foam insulation added it can snug up a bit and stay in place. It cools well and responds to the remote control or the buttons pushed on the front. I haven't really heated yet but it worked when I tested it upon first install. My space is about 300 sq ft and my opinion is that this larger 12,000 BTU is needed to handle the weather. It fits securely just due to its weight so it doesn't rumble, but the fan noise is 60-70dB at medium setting: tolerable but not quiet. I would recommend it and buy it again.
