Moderately easy to install. Functionally a five star product; LED w two levels really helps the cooking task and the vent is efficient as well. Sound levels are like most Hoods so don't expect a wisper.

My previous hood was 1950's era (I think). It did very little and was a pain to clean. In comparison, this new hood is a dream. I love that I can put the screens in the dishwasher. On full power this hood is noisy but does a great job of taking smoke, moisture and grease out of the air. So far I haven't set off the smoke alarm once.

Purchased in 2017, worked fine 'til July 2021 when suddenly the motor stopped working. Facing $800 cost of part & labor. Apparently, I got a lemon. Bosch dosn't stand behind their brand as I contacted them to at least provide the repalcement part; but, they refused to do that. Ready to throw this junk out of my kitchen and replace it by another brand
