Installed the oven just after Christmas. We are both seniors and prefer baking in a conventional oven. It has performed perfectly, it is easy to use and the lock and cool door front are nice safety features when the grand children are here.

Although the original Amana oven which came with the house was only 25 years old and was still "working", we decided to replace it with a 21st century model as we decided to do a makeover to the kitchen. I could not be more satisfied with the decision. The controls were easy to learn even before reading the instructions. I especially like the timer function. It's always been the most used feature of the oven, even when not actually using the oven. That probably won't change. Our first use of the oven was about a month after its purchase only because it was installed only recently....hence the review. Perfect timing. Pork baby back ribs and roasted brussel sprouts was the fare. Came out beautifully. Next came a calzone my son made from scratch. That too came out beautifully. In addition to cooking meals, I might just start baking desserts again.

our single wall oven is 10 months old. We put on the self cleaning for the first time and we heard a boom! the bottom part(where droppings usually end up) chipped away into pieces! Called Whirlpool, they sent a guy to investigate and he said he never saw anything like this! A new unit is $1495 but theyre only giving us $1199. Why should i have to lay out moeny out of my packet for a new oven due to their factory defect?????
