We brought the dishwasher and it worked great the 1st year the second year it started not to clean as well and would leave water in the bottom of dishwasher. now it doesn't wash. it cycle thru. fills with water does not wash ,no noise that the dishwasher is working then it drains water. dishes are dirty and dry no water sprayed on them. no noise of motor working. pure disappointment.

Although this dishwasher was the least expensive on the market and cleans the dishes well, it started to have problems after only 2 years of purchase. It started to rust on the upper rack, which is a safety hazard. Now, it is leaving sufficient soap residue on the dishes in the upper rack that we have to rewash them by hand. We did not change soap.

I'm disappointed that the dishwasher, which is less than two years old, no longer has heated water. I found out that we'd need to replace the panel, which is so expensive.

I have this model for two and half years. I always use cascade packed detergent and rinse aid. After a year the soap dispenser stopped pop up during the washing cycle and makes a loud noise when it is time. So I had to open the door and open the soap dispenser manually, and since then this is the only way to get soap out. Both my racks rusted and started to falling apart, and I repaired it with vinyl repairing paint. I clean regularly inside the dishwasher with dishwasher cleaner. And recently everything doesn’t come clean, all glassess looks foggy stains on the plates etc. still makes loud noise, detergent dispenser can’t pop up. I checked to change detergent dispenser part is almost $100 and looks like it doesn’t worth to spend this much money which it is not sure it will work efficiently after spending that amount. Sorry but I had other brands before which I used them at least ten years.

My three-year-old dishwasher still works fine, but some of the panel lights have burned out. When I called Amana about getting new lights, I was told that I would need an entire new panel, which costs about $89, and it would need to be installed by a technician. I might as well buy a new dishwasher, and it certainly won't be an Amana.
