we bought our washing machine & dryer in may of this year. i have had the dryer replaced 1 week after buying, due to a mechanical noise issue. i have had the service department out twice for my washing machine and they cannot fix the issue of the washer shaking exponentially during the spin cycle. (it will also possibly be replaced) however, they do look amazing and have a lot of different features most appliances do not have. i would say these are a great investment, if you don't mind having the service department come out every couple of months to fix or replace them.

i gave 2 stars because when it works it does a decent job. trouble on the first wash. door leaked during spin cycle. spin cycle made quite a bit of noise. door was replace by samsung service man. machine began making much more banging noise during spin cycle. 4 days later repair man comes out and says he's never seen this before. opens the top and finds the drum broken loose from top right mount. i'm still waiting for parts from samsung. samsung will not replace this defective machine. pretty crappy for a high end machine.

bought this washer with samsung installation. the first load ended with a violent banging noise and horrible vibration that had the machine nearly break through the folding doors of the laundry closet! i read the installation instructions and found the "installers" never leveled the machine, or remove the shipping bolts in the back - steps 2 & 3. i did it myself. they took the wrench, bolt caps & anti-slip pads that were supposed to be left with the machine. samsung can't send the missing parts because the installer has them, the installer will have to come out again to deliver the parts. samsung offered to refund the installation cost since i basically did it myself but, if they do, then the installers won't come out and give me the missing parts.

i really wish i liked this washer. it cleans our clothes well, but i dread starting a load. anything more than 1-2 pieces of clothing and the washer vibrates and shakes so much it walks. we know it's finished because the lights on the ceiling below stop moving. i had a home depot warranty repair person come out and he checked that everything was fine -- it is level, no shipping bolts, etc. he said it's just a piece of junk and we can't put more than a towel in there without it having these issues. i never had this with my previous lg. i'm extremely frustrated and will probably sell to buy a replacement (not samsung).
