    My unit is just over two years old. The shaft splines completely wore out between the agitator plate and shaft rendering the machine useless. I called Whirlpool and they directed me to a local shop for repair. I called the local shop and they said throw it away the parts and labor cost more than buying a new one. So now I'm out $1,000, I will never recommend this brand or purchase anything whirlpool makes. I understand that nothing last forever and all things break. But you should stand behind your product and offer replacement parts that are cost effective.

    New Whirlpool WTW8500DC washer just installed in June 2019. Never cleaned clothes properly due to low impeller design. Leaves white soap residue on clothes and have had to rewash loads three times. Major flaw according to service repairman. Neither Whirlpool or Appliance Canada have been any help or would stand behind their product or warranties(paid for extended warranties too) but this problem was immediate from first day and use. Just given the run around for months! Terrible customer service. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again and will never return to Appliance Canada either. Waste of time and money. Stay away!!

    Bought this with matching dryer from Lowe’s for our new home. Clothes come out clean, smelling great, and best of all we don’t hear the machine at all. There is no water hammer like our old set. Glad we went with Whirlpool for our appliances.
