The Ice Maker Circulation Pump and Motor Assembly sends water from the reservoir over the top of the evaporator plate to form the slab of ice that drops onto the cutting grid. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also turn off the water supply before you begin. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Ice Machine Cleaner* (item W11179302) to help reduce mineral deposits that can clog your appliance and affect its performance. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
