I have owned 8 upright freezers and this is the worst. The temperature will not go below 15 degrees. When I called the place of purchase they sent out a company and they told me that everything was working fine. I disagreed as I have had many other brands of up wright freezers. The technician then told me that to meet the government guidelines, currant appliances are made that are not as good as older appliances. After losing a lot of food, I threw out this freezer as the appliance store would do nothing.

This Amana freezer replaced our 46 year old Amana freezer. Wish it was the 23 cu but will do with two 17 cu Amana freezers. Love the freezers. Wanted a manual defrost and these are the last available.

We are very happy with this freezer. Just the right size. Lots of room. Just wish the door would click or swoosh or something to know it is closed tight.

After 2 months of use we noticed the light was not on. When looking at it we noticed it is all black around the bulb area like it shorted out. Waiting for a fix
