Poorest refrigerator I’ve ever seen, so many ice maker problems , we’ve owned this unit for Almost 6 years . This should have been a lemon law recall

I have owned this fridge since the product was new in oct 2014. Nothing but issues. Rust spot on back ice makers constantly stops working. I have tried to call tech support multiple times to get help defrosting this thing. Their solution is to unplug it. If I had the money I would just buy a new different brand fridge

Most of the one star reviews I've seen from the rust issue, icemaker failures and now the evaporator fan and fridge not cooling reflect my experience with this fridge. I'm giving it one more go before it is replaced with anything but and Fridgidaire or Electrolux. I've replaced the evap fan and the thermostat in the freezer after finding the epoxy on the thermostat had popped off and basically shorted out the thermostat. The icemaker failed at 1 month after the warranty expired. Now the whole thing is sitting in my kitchen with all the doors open hoping that the stupid thing can defrost completely. I will be putting the old evap fan back in and going through all the troubleshooting tricks that are provided by a third party because there is nothing useful on this site. I never bothered to connect with fridgidaire. Why bother based on most of the comments. "It's out of warranty sorry go by another one of our pieces of junk" OH and I have to disable a non existent AD BLOCKER to write a review??? Pathetic! Lets hope this goes through...

**JUNK ALERT** Rust Spot, Loud Fan, Broken LCD board... JUNK. DON'T BUY.

Garbage. This fan rusts on the back and the condensation drips all the way down the fridge. No way to stop it. We had a tech come out from Sears as we called our home warranty company [Cinch Home Warranty- they also are terribe) to schedule service. The tech called to review options and of course they denied the claim as result of the following items not covered:Automatic deodorizers; buckets; commercial units; damage to clothing; doors; door cables; door glass; door seals; drawers; drip pans; exhaust fan not solely for venting range/cooktop fumes; independent telescoping range exhaust; filters and screens; food spoilage; self-contained icemakers; water supply lines; reclaim of refrigerant; interior lining; internal shelves; knobs and handles; light bulbs and fixtures; lock and key assemblies; panels and/or cabinetry; racks; removable minitubs; rollers other than clothes dryer drum rollers; rooftop exhaust units; rotisseries and probes; secondary units; shelves; springs; stand-alone freezers; structural components; timers and clocks; self-cleaning mechanisms including door latches; trays; venting; conditions of water flow restriction due to scale, rust, minerals and other deposits. The tech was embarrassed to tell me that my home warranty company declined the claim. After asking for his opinion on what I could do to mitigate the issue, he suggested replacing it. There no other way to stop the rusting he also shared because it's a design flaw. Basically,FRIGIDAIRE made a defective product and doesn't desire to be held accountable for their malfunctioning and hazardous units. Nor will they provide any support besides finding a repair service locally to provide assistance for something that shouldn't occur in the first place. Not only that but this fridge is the loudest, most irritating and obnoxiously high pitched fridge I have ever owned. It produces this annoying high-pitched ring that you can't get out of your ear. Another reason this fridge is absolutely horrid. Just issue after issue and nothing that can be done about it. I would stay far away from anything FRIGIDAIRE.
