ice/water dispenser unpredictable . ice shoots out onto floor making a slippery mess. constantly have to watch to be sure someone doesn't slip on ice! water pitcher redundant , takes up valuable shelf space. small top freezer drawer difficult to see.

my original review exceeded avaible space. in short: do. not. buy. this. fridge. 1. icemaker is painfully slow & i’m told there’s a pending class action related to its design. 2. “flex zone” drawer is a waste of space, materials and money. 3. in order to accommodate common elements such as a gallon of milk or a bottle of wine one has to flip existing shelves up or push them back. the icemaker box inside the unit dominates the interior and flipping the shelf up reduces available, usable space within the unit by 20%. 4. and no, you can’t offset this by simply adjusting shelves up or down- they’re otherwise fused and fixed in place. i confirmed this on a call at length w/ the samsung help line. posting this in the hopes that somebody from samsung will contact me to rectify this mess.

We purchased the Samsung 28 cu ft, 3 door, French Door, with built in auto-fill pitcher. I love this new refrigerator. Our biggest surprise is how much we like the auto-fill pitcher. Because the pitcher is part of the design of the refrigerator we have the convenience of a filtering water pitcher that takes up a minimal amount of space. We use the pitcher to fill our coffee maker's reservoir with filtered water almost daily. The auto-fill feature is a luxury we are really enjoying. After using a side by side refrigerator for years, I love the French Door, Freezer on the bottom design. I find that with this design both the refrigerator and the freezer feel much more spacious and allow for better organization. Using the full width of the unit, we can fit much larger items in the refrigerator. Over the holidays we prepared a large fruit, cheese, and charcuterie tray. We were able to cover the entire tray with cling wrap and place it on a shelf in the refrigerator. We could not have fit a tray half the size in our last side-by-side refrigerator. We have found the freezer to be convenient and easy to organize. It provides enough space to store many (more than 10) large bags and boxes of frozen goods upright, in the large bottom drawer, ensuring easy identification and retrieval. There is an additional top drawer that fits a ton of smaller items. I'm very impressed with the design of this refrigerator. Everything about it has been working great for us.

It was love at first sight with this refrigerator. From the adjustable shelves to the auto fill water pitcher to the fingerprint resistant stainless steel, this refrigerator is a great option for the whole family. The kids love the slide-out freezer drawers and easy access to their favorite snacks. I love that I can open the refrigerator and see everything - no more food items spoiling that are hidden at the back of the shelf. Best of all, the French door and bottom drawer freezer lay-out makes this refrigerator and freezer so spacious - it is so much easier to keep everything organized! I would recommend this refrigerator to anyone looking for a new one.
