    Door alarm useless

    We've had this fridge for about a year and since new the door sometimes closes normally but occasionally seems to bounce as if it hit something and come to rest about an inch open (NO, there is nothing hitting - I have checked that multiple times and there is no sound of anything actually hitting). The door alarm would be a very useful feature except that it is barely loud enough to hear when you are in the same room, let alone from the next room. It would be best if the door always closed properly but failing that it would be nice if it was possible to make the alarm louder.

    I have this fridge in my apartment, the door handle breaks off once a year! Now my landlord wants to charge me for a new one and I can see from other reviews that this is a common problem with this product.

    If it had not been for the alarm on the door, my food would of probably been ruined. I love my glass shelves.

    I bought this refrigerator a year ago and have experienced no operational problems, but for a plastic door handle that cracked and broke off and had to be replaced.

    I actually bought this two years ago. I'm contacting PC Richard to get yet another door handle - the 4th on the refrigerator. Also, the fruit and vegetable drawers stick so badly you have to really yank to get them open.
